The Astronomy
Center of Marsa Alam is unique in Egypt. Built in the mountains
of the desert it is undisturbed by noise or light from the nearby
hotels. |
|
 |
The
presentation is done by an Astronomer who will help you to
understand the mystery of the Universe. The sky will be explained
with the use of a special
Astro Laser. |
|
 |
We take
images with a CCD
camera through a
10-inch Telescope. |
|
 |
We use a
Wide Screen to
project images, all life and in colour . |
|
 |
The screen is also used to
show the Constellations
of the Stars. |
|
 |
For about seven days
during each month the moon is too bright to see many stars. For this
period we developed a special Moon
Program. To be in the desert
illuminated by the Moon is quite an experience. |
 |
During the presentation
the Bedouins provide
tea and shisha (Egyptian waterpipe). |
The excursion starts after
dinner and takes about three hours. |
